Dance Marathon

A full on day of dance for all ages!
Get a whole town, village or locality buzzing with dance and movement with a full on day of dance classes, performances, and demonstrations to watch and take part in. Promotes physical activity to client groups of all generations and ability levels. Offers people an introduction to and a taster of movement and dance activity. Involves local youth and community groups. tees valley dance will manage and deliver the whole event.

Come Dance with Me

Celebrate your community's movement, dance, music and cultural memories and experiences with a wonderful twist on the oral history project. Community groups communicate, capture, share and together create new social dances. So whether your memories spark disco, sequence, bollywood , bellydancing . country dancing, tea dancing or hip-hop all are collected and collated to create new 21st century dances to share.

Dance Digital

APPROPRIATE YEAR 9 UPWARDS

For young people to develop ICT, dance and choreography skills A workshop programme for young people that explores the creation of choreographic material using digital tools. Through a series of workshops young people will work with animation software to make animated choreographic material. Participants then explore how to combine live and digital choreography. Participants also develop their film and directing skills as they document the project on video. A dancer and digital media artist facilitate the sessions. At the end of the project the work created by the young people is edited onto a DVD for the group to keep.
