tees valley dance have built a reputation for producing challenging and innovative work for children and young people and the community by devising dance works and providing innovative programmes of creative learning which are accessible, relevant and do not compromise on quality.

tees valley dance, based at Northern Lights Academy in Hartlepool, has been contributing to the cultural life of the North East of England since 1999. We are a company that brings together dancers, choreographers, visual artists, musicians, composers and arts managers from across Europe.

 

Zubaidah Saëbu – Dancer

Zubaidah studied Modern Dance Theatre at the Theatre School in Amsterdam. She has worked with choreographers such as Reine and Roebana and Michael Jahoda.

Simon Moore – Dancer

Since leaving the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, Simon has danced for companies such as Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte (BCN) in Portugal and various UK companies such as Mobius Dance Company and Air Dance Company.

Vicky Moore - Finance Officer

Victoria started working with tees valley dance in 2008 as the Finance and Marketing Officer.  Most of her working background has been in finance and administration. She has lived in the north east her whole life and worked all over the Tees Valley region. Over the last six years Victoria has been studying part-time towards an arts and humanities degree. 

Heather Walker - Company Manager

Heather graduated from University College Chichester with BA Hons in Dance in 2000. She worked for North Kesteven District Council, Lincolnshire as a Dance Worker from 2000 to 2002, planning and delivering youth and educational dance projects. She completed a MA in The Body and Representation in 2003 at Reading University. Since 2003 she has been working for tees valley dance.
